comedy night 2022
December 1, 2022

YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties hosted its 30th Annual Comedy Night on Friday, November 18 at the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse in Hampton, New Jersey. With nearly 300 comedy fans in attendance, the event raised more than $80,000 for the YMCA’s financial assistance program. In addition to a silent auction, the event included a “Send a Kid to Camp” appeal which raised funds to provide financial assistance for 113 children to attend YMCA day camp this summer.

“Y Comedy Night is a great event. It’s a night out with friends to enjoy great comedians. But it’s much more than just an evening out; it’s a wonderful way to give back to the community and support the Y’s financial assistance program. We are grateful to the sponsors, attendees, and volunteers who made this event possible,” said Jason Halpin, YMCA Comedy Night Chair.

The YMCA would like to thank this year’s sponsors for their commitment to the Hunterdon County community, with a special thanks to the Presenting Partner Ameriprise - Three Bridges Wealth Advisors; Diamond Partners Travis Electrical Contractors and an anonymous donor who sponsored 24 veterans attendance at Comedy Night; Platinum Partners FIT Wealth Management and Regional Court Apartments; Gold Partners Fred Beans and Van’s Self Storage; Silver Partners Deloitte and Wakefern/Shoprite of Hunterdon County; and Bronze Partners Cedarbaum Orthodontics and Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

The Y has served Hunterdon County since 1903. It provides financial assistance in the form of scholarships for much needed programs including child care, summer camp, and swim lessons. The Y also sponsors important community programs like the Dolphins Special Olympics Swim Team and a Citizenship Study Group. From child care for infants to activities for active older adults, Y programs touch the lives of thousands of Hunterdon County residents each year.
